Jess will teach the basics of Foundation Paper Piecing to construct a pumpkin block, and show students how to incorporate it into a functional drawstring pouch.

Skill Level:	Intermediate
Skill Details:	Students must have basic sewing skills. Must know how to operate a sewing machine independently. Students will learn the basics of Foundation Paper Piecing, as well as basic bag making techniques.

Instructor:	Jess Zimmerman
Instructor Bio:	Jess has been sewing and quilting most of her life. She never learned to fear silk and charmeuse and sewed garments for her dolls using her mother's scraps. She learned to quilt during college and took a break from sewing for a few years after graduation. During her brief career in nursing, she returned to sewing to decompress on her days off. Now she's a homeschool mom who teaches sewing classes in DFW when she gets the chance. In addition to sewing, she loves bunnies, reading, and tacos.
