Sharon's Square of the Month Afghan Club 2026 -- September (in Knitting Area)

This year we will focus on cables! Four different cable blocks are arranged in a combination of compatible colors or all one color. Whatever works for you! Washable yarn, I used Berroco Vintage Chunky, makes this blanket easy to care for and durable. This project will make a lovely gift for someone or for yourself!

We will be using the Forest Pansy blanket pattern. Use this link to purchase the pattern before class.

*Note: Sharon will assign each month's block pattern. No pre-work required.

Skill Level:	Beginner
Skill Details:	Must know how to knit and purl.
Requirements:	Required materials: You will also need one skein of an aran or bulky weight yarn to get started with your first block. You can buy your yarn as you go. Our yarn recommendations include: Berroco Vintage Chunky (Sharon's sample yarn) or Malabrigo Chunky and Size US10.5 needles (also bring a cable needle if you have one).

Instructor Bio:	A former high school teacher, Sharon now has time to share her love of knitting with our community - and we are so lucky to have her! Sharon is known for her prolific knitting and her love of the color blue. When she's not knitting, you’ll find her lost in a good book—probably with a cup of tea and a cozy blanket she knit herself.
