Quilt Basics - 5 Session Class
A beginners quilting class that covers: choosing fabrics, seam allowance, cutting, pressing and squaring up the blocks. We will make a 4 block sampler that includes a 9 patch, Half Square Triangles (HSTs), Pinwheel and Rail Fence. Note: You do not have to bring your sewing machine to the first session.

Skill Details: | Must already be familiar with your sewing machine and be able to sew straight seams. Appropriate for the student that has never made a quilt before. |
Requirements: | Beginning Quilting supply list: Working machine with foot control, plug in and manual. Machine needles, 12/80 good for all purpose, 4-12 fat quarters for top and binding, thread in basic colors, white, beige, light gray, straight pins and safety pins for basting, small scissors - sharp mostly for cutting threads, rotary cutter and mat (at least 12"x18" size mat) and 45mm cutter rotary cutter, acrylic rulers (6.5" square + long ruler at least 6"x12"), quilt batting and backing fabric (batting and backing amounts will be discussed in class) |
