Tentacula Hat
Learn to knit the super cool Tentacula Hat designed by Jenny Noto. It uses an elongated stitch to create fans (or tentacles) across the hat, and you'll learn a couple of tricks to make it easy. The pattern is written for multiple yarn weights and one or two colors. We will use one color and bulky weight yarn in class so your hat goes fast. You need to know how to cast on, knit, purl, and work in the round to make this hat. No advanced skills required. NOTE: THIS CLASS REQUIRES PRE-WORK. | Requirements: | Supplies: Tentacula Hat pattern by Jenny Noto (available on Ravelry) printed or electronic copy on your device, 1 skein Malabrigo Chunky (or about 130 yds of other bulky weight yarn that knits at 3.75 sts per 1 inch), size US 10.5 (6.5 mm) 16 inch circular needles, plus same size DPNs or 2nd circular needle with 28 inch or longer cable (for magic loop) to finish the top, stitch marker, crochet hook size H, I, or J (optional but helpful), tapestry needle. |
