Crochet for Kids!

This is a beginning crochet class for ages 8-13 only. Come learn how to crochet! In this class, you will learn basic crochet skills including how to tie a slip knot, hold a crochet hook and yarn, do a chain stitch, do a single crochet stitch, and work scross a row. You will finish by tying off your work. We will make a small practice swatch during class and you will receive a free pattern for a small crochet project you can do on your own. Please refer to the Requirements section for necessary class supplies.

Requirements: | US size M (9mm) crochet hook, #5 weight bulky/chunky yarn (suggest Malabrigo Chunky or similar), scissors or snips. NOTE: please allow extra time before class if you are purchasing yarn that will need to be wound. |

Instructor Bio: | Lynette is a cable-obsessed sweater knitter and professional sewist. She lives in Dallas, TX with her husband Dan and their menagerie of rescued animals. She tutors private students and teaches knitting, sewing and jewelry making classes all across the DFW area. Lynette loves teaching, inspiring and encouraging makers of all ages so they can feed their souls with the best kind of fiber. |
