My First Sweater (4 Sessions)
Are you ready to knit a sweater? Learn the basics of sweater knitting in this top-down, raglan sleeve sweater class. Skills taught include using a gauge swatch, choosing the right size, increases for sleeves, and picking up sleeve stitches.
Don't wait to sign up. Class sign ups close one week prior to the first class.

| Skill Details: | Must be comfortable with casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch, knitting in the round, and binding off. Skills taught include choosing size for correct fit, increases for raglan shaping, separating for sleeves, and how to block a garment. You will receive an email one week before class with information about supplies and instructions for knitting a gauge swatch. |
| Requirements: | Flax Sweater pattern by Tin Can Knits, worsted weight yarn, needles to obtain gauge, and basic knitting supplies. |

| Instructor Bio: | Melissa is the queen of sweater knitting...not to mention hats, socks, shawls, etc... She has been knitting since before Ravelry, and is a virtual library of popular sweater patterns. She also knows her way around a sewing machine. In addition to knitting, she loves cats and french fries. |
