Using Kim Diehl's latest line, Scraps of Kindness, you will learn tips and tricks for making Kim's 8 new mini quilts.

If you are brand new to crochet or have not touched a hook in years, then, this class was designed for you. What you will learn: crochet terminology; how to tie a slip knot, hold a crochet hook, and tension yarn; how to chain stitch (ch), single crochet stitch (sc), and work in rows; how to count stitches and weave in ends.

This class builds on the skills learned in Making Loops. Students should already know how to chain, single crochet, and work in rows. Skills taught include: double crochet, double crochet increase and decrease, joining a new ball of yarn, fastening off

The Champagne Cardigan is worked from the top down with raglan increases on the yoke and a deep V-neck. The neckline of the cardigan is shaped with short rows by raising the back of the neck. The button plackets are worked in double knitting with buttonholes along the right side. Don't wait to sign up. Class sign ups close one week prior to the first class.

You have nailed all the basics...time to step it up! Come make a chunky baby beanie with your new knitting juju. You will cast on and join in the round, knit some ribbing, and then decrease your way in circles to the crown. We will cover the magic loop method, and then you can decide whether to use circulars or double pointed needles for your project. The class pattern includes instructions for both a preemie and newborn sized hat. Get ready to cover a tiny head! Don't need a baby hat? This is a great way to learn all the techniques needed for a full-size adult hat, too!

A quick introduction for the true beginner. Learn to cast on and do the knit stitch. Supplies will be provided in class.

Go you for learning how to knit! Now it is time to learn how to shape your work and knit in the round. We will practice common increases and decreases for shaping. You will also learn how to use both circular and double pointed needles to make a tube (Is it a wrist warmer or a cowl? Your choice!). Add some new needles to your knitting kit and come play! Please see notes following supply list.

Hooray, you can knit! Now it is time to learn to purl and bind off so you can make ribbing and take a project off your needles. You will be able to show off your new skills with a simple washcloth/dish towel project that we will start in class. Grab your needles and get ribbing!

The Gloam is a textured cardigan worked from a chart. It is a boxy, versatile cardigan featuring easy knit and purl texture. Come learn how to use your sewing machine so you can make things! This hands-on class will teach you everything about your sewing machine, tools and accessories, needles, and how to stitch, all in a single session. Perfect if you have never used a sewing machine or if it has been a minute since you last used one. You will learn about all the parts of your sewing machine, along with how to set up and thread your machine, wind a bobbin, and sew precise seam allowances using a regular straight stitch. We will practice pivoting (turning corners) and explore different stitch types as time allows. Whether your machine has not made it out of the box yet or it has been hiding for years, we will get you stitching in no time!

Step up your new sewing skills with a stylish tote bag. This class uses the free Costa Tote pattern from Helens Closet (see link to pattern in class supply list). With all straight seams, it is the perfect project for beginners who already know how to use their machine and want to work on something fun and easy. You will learn how to lay out and cut a pattern as well as how to topstitch, hem, and sew box corners for a completed project by the end of class time. You can get creative with fabric choices and you will have room for all the things inside the huge pockets. Time to get sewing!

Learn to sew and many of the techniques necessary for garment sewing in this 3-session class.

Your quilt piecing skills will take a huge leap forward during this class to make Kim Diehl's Scraps of Kindness quilt. Each spool block is made of different traditional block patterns. It's a great scrappy quilt, or use a fabric collection, or solids--there isn't a bad choice!
